Carmel Market is one of several popular bazaars in Tel Aviv, and with its warren of stalls and cafes it can happily occupy you for an entire afternoon. The market is busiest on Tuesdays and Fridays, when the food vendors do their best to entice you with fresh produce and clothing stalls are awash in vibrant fabrics. One of the best hummus stores in the city is also located here; just ask any local and they will direct you.

A must-see when visiting Tel Aviv. The open air market is a great place to shop for spices, cheeses, fruits and vegetables or souvenirs. There are a number of good restaurants here so you can stop for a bite too. Check it out on Tuesdays and Fridays when the Artists Fair happens.
