A boutique spa hotel in Vesterbro, the Axel Guldsmeden takes a page from Bali with batik prints, oriental carpets, and smooth polished wood furniture. Rooms are cunningly designed, some with elevated platform beds reachable by ladder, and the penthouse has a curtained rooftop terrace with fabulous city views. Entry to the spa is an additional 295 DKK, but once inside guests have access to jacuzzis, steam rooms, massage areas and a relaxation suite.
