Hotel Le Bristol, which holds France's rare "Palace" ranking, has been treating its guests like royalty since 1925. The hotel is recently renovated, making even more elegant the public rooms with their crystal chandeliers, mural and antiques. The 188 spacious guest rooms and suites are decorated in 18th century style with marble bathrooms. It brasserie has one Michelin star, and the more formal Epicure with adjoining garden has three. Spa Le Bristol by La Prairie, which opened in 2011, occupies three sunlight-flooded floors and offers the first Russian-style Banya in Paris and childcare. Along with the white-glove service come homey touches like the housecats Fa-Raon and Kléopatre. Guests have included the cast of Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris" during the three months of filming, and Leo Lerman, the hotel's Jewish architect who was hidden in Room 106 during the WWII years.
