At the center of the Belgisches Viertel lies this popular meeting place among the too-cool Cologners. Over the years, a back-and-forth over noise control between angry neighbors, the city, and the square's partiers has perhaps mellowed it from the free-for-all it once was, but it is still worth a visit during the summer twilight with a cold Kölsch in hand.
