Quimixto is one of those lazy-day beaches on the southern end of the bay that can only be reached by water taxi or private boat. Between Las Ánimas and Majahuitas, it offers seaside seafood restaurants, walks and horseback rides along the beach and hikes to a waterfall in the jungle. The shallow lagoon is good for snorkeling and swimming.
