This Holiday Inn, just across the road from the Miraflores Locks, offers views of the Panama Canal and suburban tranquility. Located in the City of Knowledge in Clayton on the site of a canal-era fort, it is in a green zone of parks and playing fields. Just out the front of the hotel is Paddy Mick's, an authentic Irish pub with a wide selection of craft beers and outdoor patio. The hotel is a taxi-ride away from most everything else in the city, but it makes an ideal base if you're in town for a special event like the annual jazz festival or Panama Brew Fest at the City of Knowledge.
