Foster Beach isn't exactly an LGBT destination, but it's high on the local's list of low-key, clean, accessible, white sand city beaches. Expect families and minimal organized activity or sports. Sparse concessions but free Wi-Fi, lounge chair and umbrella rentals, and ample free parking if you don't feel like walking a few blocks from the nearby red line EL train station. Best on a sunny weekday afternoon for catching up with a friend.
