Any movie-goer worth their salt will immediately recognize Lombard Street, the famous "world's crookedest street" that graces the incline of Russian Hill. The hill was deemed too steep for the automobiles of the 1920s, so Lombard Street was designed with a series of eight switchbacks, divided by gracious flower beds in permanent bloom. Try to come in the early morning if you want to take pictures, as tourists will throng here.
