Slightly out of the way on a man-made island in the South Harbor, Copenhagen Island Hotel was designed by a team of architects led by Kim Utzon, and the result is ultra-modern and sexy, with sharp angles and expansive harbor views. Rooms can be small, but are kept from being stuffy with the help of enormous windows and minimalist furnishings. The on-site restaurant serves good, if predictable, seafood, and the gargantuan Fisketorvet Shopping Center is just across the way.
