The Art Deco building that houses the Savoy Hotel was designed by early 1900s architect Anton Rosen and still has its original elevator, the first of its kind in Denmark. The building is very well-maintained, with 66 rooms decorated in pale blues and deep browns, many overlooking a leafy central courtyard. Just a few minutes walk from Tivoli Gardens, its location is enviable, and though it's a busy part of town, the rooms are quiet and calm.
