Opéra Bastille, the strikingly modern opera house designed by Uruguayan architect Carlos Ott in 1989, has mostly opera and ballet performances in a 3,309-seat theater known for excellent acoustics. Best to book ahead, but special last-minute prices for standing room and for anyone under 28.
