La Boca is a neighborhood in the south east of the city near the old port that as inherited its working class character and European influence from its shipyard and Italian immigrant roots. Its two main attractions are the Estadio Alberto J. Armando or Bombanero (chocolate box) stadium, known to soccer fans for its Boca Juniors team or Bombonera (the chocolate box) and the Caminito street - an artist haven turned tourist trap - lined with colorful houses, outdoor cafés and tango clubs. Check out the modern and contemporary art at the Fundación Proa if you have time.
