The 170-metre (558-foot) Cantilever spar cable-stayed footbridge was completed in 2001 to provide access to the Puerto Madero area near the port and today is an iconic homage to women. Spanish architect Santiago CalatravaIt described this asymmetrical structure as a synthesis of the image of a couple dancing the tango.
