The little stretch of street in Frederiksberg known as Vaernedamsvej has been compared to Paris, Berlin, and New York, but whatever city it might bring to mind, it's undeniably possessed of an appealing atmosphere. There are a number of cheese and wine shops, independent boutiques, and several excellent cafes, making it a popular spot for young families and students on weekend days.
