Just down the street from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Museum has the world's most extensive collection of Hollywood movie and TV memorabilia. It houses more than 10,000 "artifacts," including hundreds of costumes, a replica of Hannibal Lecter's jail cell and stars' personal items like Marilyn Monroe's million-dollar dress and Elvis Presley's bathrobe. It takes up four floors in the historic Max Factor Building, where Max Factor - Hollywood's Makeup King - gilded the lily of Golden Era movie stars and made Marilyn Monroe a blonde and Lucille Ball a redhead.
