The oldest and largest design museum in Denmark, Designmuseum Danmark is housed in the old Frederiks Hospital and emphasizes the applied arts and industrial design. There are over 300,000 objects here including furniture, textiles, silverware, glassware, carpets, and ceramics. Most exhibits have English subtitles, but the displays are so visually sumptuous that they're almost unnecessary. The museum gift shop is among the finest in the city, and can be accessed without buying a ticket. Admission is 90 DKK.
